Wet n' Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Review

Hello Ladies!
Its Claudia today to do a makeup related post.
I don't know about you guys but when it comes to eyeshadow I can be a bit picky. I love MAC and Urban Decay eyeshadows so a lot of drugstore eyeshadow doesn't cut it for me. I decided I would do a review on a drugstore eyeshadow that I have found has many similar qualities of high end eyeshadows, and for the price tag of just $3!

The Product: Wet n' Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trios
These trios consist of 3 colors and each color is specific to either eyelid, crease or highlight.
The colors are all very smooth and apply like a dream, very blendable and I find even some of the crease colors work on the lid and vice versa.
I found that the eyelid colors are definately the smoothest applying in these palettes.
At $3 you get 3 colors and I would truly say the eyelid colors in these palettes are as good of quality as MAC eyeshadows except without a good primer they might crease. But with the Urban Decay Primer Potion I have no fallout or creasing.
I have tried 3 of the trios and will now include some photos below.

L-R: Walking on Eggshells, Silent Treatment, Knock on Wood
Walking On Eggshells
Silent Treatment
Knock On Wood
Quick picture of the 3 beautiful eyelid colors. Look at the pigmentation!

Walking On Eggshells: Beautiful neutral palette. Apparently the eyelid color is a spot on dupe for MAC's Naked Lunch e/s. Includes a champagne, light mid- tone brown, and an off- white shade.
Silent Treatment: I love the eyelid color in this palette. Sadly it is the only part I like. I don't like black eyeshadow so I don't use the crease color, plus it is the only chalky shade of the 3 palettes. Includes a plum undertoned taupe, shimmery black, and light pink shade.
Knock On Wood: This palette is very daring,  I think it will be gorgeous in fall. I find myself more often using the crease color on the lid and the lid color as the crease to tone it down. This is also my favorite highlight of the three, I have never seen such a unique pink. Includes a rose/berry, chocolate, and a very unique pink shade. For some reason the pink shade reminds me of fairies!

Shade Selection: 5/5
Pigmentation: 5/5
Blendability: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5
Overall I highly recommend these eyeshadows, try one out and see what you think!

Fall Necessities

Hey Ladies!
Its Claudia, so sorry for being away I have been insanely busy!
Since fall is on its way I thought I would talk to you guys about things I love for fall and am hoping to wear this year!

Sweaters
Not even a question, sweaters are my winter must have. No matter if they are pullover, button up, cardigan, oversized. Whatever the style I always incorporate them into my style. Here are a few worth checking out this fall!

For sweaters this fall Fisherman and Grandpa styled sweaters are popping up everywhere. Some people think they look weird but honestly I own one myself and they are so adorable! If you accessorize the correct way it will look great. Just make sure when styling to add some more modern elements so it doesn't like too dated.

Riding Pants
...and other seamed leggings and pants are very on trend this year. Sure you have your million pairs of jeans but with riding pants you can make it work for any style. Cute and simple by wearing a cute top over, indie by wearing them high wasted, trendy with a lot of layering, etc. One example I love are these American Apparel riding pants worn on http://lindathibui.blogspot.com/ check out her outfit here: http://lindathibui.blogspot.com/2010/12/all-my-friends.html

Colored Jeans
This year colored skinny jeans are in, however not neon yellow or a flashy bright purple. More unique colors, like red or plum.

Pair the bright pants with more neutral toned down tops to make sure it doesn't look to flashy.

Oxfords
Yes they are still huge this year, I just love them. Check out a few I am lusting over!

Thanks for reading! Just a few items I recommend for this fall. See you guys soon!
Love Always, Claudia

TREND ALERT!

Hey guys so today I have a trend alert post, pointing out one of the hottest trends for fall: riding boots!

Yep there back again this season! Which is great, because you might already have a pair from last fall!  I absolutely love riding boots because they so easy to wear.  You can easily slip them on with a pair of jeans and a bolman shirt.  Throw on a pearl neckalce and riding boots and your good to go!  The only down thing about riding boots is the price.  Most boots start at $70 and go up.  I would however, reccomend spending that much on the boots and not buying them at a place like Forever 21.  You want them to be good quality and not cheaply made.  Here are a two that I like.

Nordstrom, $98

Nordstrom, $99

So in they are an investment but totally worth it!  Hope you guys liked this Trend Alert! blog!  Until next time...
XOXO,

Back to School Shopping

Hey guys!! Can you believe that its already back to school time?! Its insane, however there is one good thing about back to school, SHOPPING! Now, I go to a private school which means i have to wear a uniform :( so I don't back to school shopping, but i do like to pick up a few pieces that I know I will need!  I'm going to tell you guys some staples that I think everyone needs, and some of my favorite stores to get them at! Lets go!!

Jeans:

Jeans are a must have for any season! You wear jeans pretty much everyday, so instead of splurging on a skirt you will wear once a month, splurge on jeans that you will wear every week! I recommend having four pairs of jeans that you absolutely love. Most people lean towards skinnies, but I think its nice to have a pair of boot cut too! I recommend splurging on jeans, to make sure that you get the best quality, so that they will wear forever!

Hollister
Even if you don't like to shop at Hollister, you still need a pair of jeans from them.  They make your body look amazing! They hug your curves at the perfect points! Don't worry if you need to work harder then normal to get them on!! Just make sure that they are not too tight. Plus the butt pockets are adorable!
Price: Around $50-60
Fit: Tight

American Eagle:
American Eagle jeans have a great relaxed fit to them. They are great for everyday comfort.  They are one of the best variety jean company.  Everyone will find a jean that they like there!
Price: $40-50

Cardigans:

I know in the fall, winter, and spring season I am ALWAYS wearing a cardigan!! They look adorable with everything, complete an outfit, and keep you warm! I would have a few trendy cheaper cardis, and a few nicer quality solid ones.

 Forever 21:
Forever 21 is a great place to get trendier cardigans that you wont want to wear next year.  They are inexpensive enough to get a few, plus they don't need to be as good of quality.
Price: $15-30
Nordstrom:
When hearing the word nordstrom you might think- I cant afford that-however when only getting one or two its not that bad.  Its great for getting cardi's that you know you will wear the following year.
Price: $30-60
Jewery and belts:
Jewelry can easily make an outfit more put together and in style.  By spending about $40 on jewelry, you would have a good collection, with a variety. Belts are my secret weapon.  I am always wearing a belt with my outfits.  They play a trick with eyes that automatically screams "it took me a long time to get ready this morning!" when really it didn't!
Forever 21:
Forever 21 will provide just good enough quality.  Try to go for the pieces that you think can't creak that easily.  Stay away from feathers! For belts, you wont have a problem at all!

Price: $2-15

<>Nordstrom:
Nordstrom is good for getting layering bracelets and good quality necklaces.  I think Forever 21
is just fine for belts.  Also, the prices for their accessories are not that bad.
Price: $10-20
I hope this helped you guys!! Until next time...
XOXO,
Sophie
